Hello
my name is...
a documentation of how I (continue to) figure out who I am.
Quick Icebreaker...
Hi everyone! I'm Karen Madamba, a first-year UCLA student studying Psychobiology. We've all heard of the age old question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" And in the world we live in this somewhat defined who we were, even as kids.
When I was young, my answers to this would change pretty often, starting out as a chemical engineer like my mom, to WNBA athlete, to Pixar Imagineer and finally to a pediatrician. Over the years, I've acquired a love for music, art, analyzing music and art, psychology, smiling, laughing, Disneyland trips and dole whip. All of which (in varying degrees of course) have shaped the way I live my daily life and the dreams of what the future holds.
Despite all the changes in the plan that I've made for myself, the one constant is this drive to improve and chase after what I really enjoy doing, even if those passions change and evolve over time.

I hope you will join me as I outline my journey of self-discovery, find a way to integrate these passions into what I want to be growing up and, ultimately, find out how to fill in the blank to the question "Hello! My name is ____".

Soundtrack of My Life
After six years of self-learning ukulele and guitar, nine years of wind ensemble and a life time of carpool karaoke's with my sister, music has been a defining part of my life. Here is a list of some of my favorite song lyrics, tracks and albums to commemorate all the fun jam sessions, friendships, memories, struggles and even the mundane moments of life.
