Greeting
GREETING

Hello!

I am Karen Madamba, a senior at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where I am completing a B.S. in Psychobiology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. My passion for neurobiology and developmental psychology have inspired me to pursue a career in public health so I can promote the health and resilience of children and their families.

I knew I wanted an interdisciplinary curriculum during my time at UCLA and have supplemented my STEM-courses with the humanities - such as musicology and ethnic studies. I am also fascinated by how art forms can contribute to the medical field to create a better environment for patients and health care personnel. We often separate STEM from the humanities and social sciences. But I believe that together they can help us form a more holistic view of ourselves, others, and the world around us.

That's the goal of this e-Portfolio, and why I am so excited you're here with me today! More than just a visual resumé, this is a comprehensive reflection of the experiences I've had and the journey I've taken to become a better scholar, researcher, and teammate. Beyond that I hope that this website gives you a feel for the person behind the resumé and the passion behind the work that I do.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to listen to my story and consider me as a candidate for your program.

Without further ado, I'd like to welcome you to my e-Portfolio.
